GROW BREW HOUSE Releases "Pottering Saison"; Six Beers on Tap for Golden Week
The brewpub GROW BREW HOUSE in Kawaguchi’s Nishi-Kawaguchi has released a new spring beer, "Pottering Saison." It also announced its Golden Week tap list, which features six beers including the 7% Milk Shake IPA "Mix."
The brewpub GROW BREW HOUSE in Nishi-Kawaguchi, Kawaguchi City, announced the release of its new beer "Pottering Saison" on Instagram. "Pottering" means taking a leisurely stroll by bicycle, and true to its name, the beer is a saison that softly layers the rich, sweet aroma derived from yeast with bright citrus notes from hops. On the palate, it also carries clove-like nuances, making it an easy-drinking beer with a crisp, dry finish.
The same post also announced a spring bamboo shoot festival. It will feature dishes such as gratin, pickles, and bamboo shoots dressed with Parmigiano, all made with bamboo shoots from Kawaguchi, which is very much in keeping with GROW’s style. One of the charms of this brewery-adjacent taproom is that you can enjoy the atmosphere of the makers right there at the source.
The Golden Week tap list was also announced. The lineup is:
- Mix 7% / Milk Shake IPA
- Amanatsu Wheat Lager 4% / Fruits Wheat Lager
- Heiji 6% / Hazy IPA
- Onaji Hanashi 9% / Barley Wine
- Lieth Waik IPA 4% / Session IPA
- BIG BRIDGE IPA 7% / American IPA
From hazy to milkshake to barley wine, it is a broad lineup. With a good balance of sweetness, juiciness, and drinkability, it is an approachable selection for first-time visitors as well.
