Tokyo's Adachi Ward Sakazuki Lab is announcing a special day on Thursday, March 26, under the name “Fumi no Lab Last Day.” The bar will open at 5:00 p.m. and, as a send-off event for Fumino, whose final shift as a staff member at the bar ends that day, it will tap the graduation beer《hangover!》.

According to the post, the day will feature Fumino taking on what is being called her “first and last!?” “one-day mama shift at the Lab.” Turning the situation of being called in to the Lab because of a staffing shortage on its head, the event is being set up as a place to commemorate her final shift. In addition, the pour style chosen by Koba is “sharp pour.” The aim is to highlight the well-defined flavor of《hangover!》, a style that traps carbonation and bitterness in a creamy head.

《hangover!》 is a beer completed after being ordered as “an IPA that is just plain bitter” during the brewing of the graduation beer. The post describes it as featuring a crisp, clear flavor and the weighty aroma of hops, making it especially interesting to fans of IPAs built around strong bitterness.

Sakazuki Lab is a brewery/taproom in Adachi Ward, Tokyo, and its appeal lies in its locally rooted operation and in events that make you feel the ties between the staff and sister locations. In this post as well, while referencing the regular staff beers《shy daddy》《shy boy》and《nagi》, it conveys the atmosphere of creating a “send-off toast” as an extension of everyday service.

March 26 looks set to be a day to enjoy a glass that feels very much like Sakazuki Lab while tasting《hangover!》, the star of the last day.
