Beer Coffee Uchiyama, a craft beer pub in Nagoya’s Showa Ward, has newly tapped “Krush Heart Red” from Y.MARKET BREWING.

Krush Heart Red is a double-hoppy red ale developed as an evolution of Y.MARKET BREWING’s early signature beer, Craft Heart Red. Brewed with US Simcoe, US Citra, and US Krush hops, it has an alcohol content of 6.5% and an IBU of 42.1.

The beer pours a vivid red and offers a refreshing pine-like aroma, followed by fruit impressions of grapefruit, red grape, and a touch of lychee. Rather than relying simply on a heavy hop load, the recipe emphasizes balance—the brewery’s characteristic “subtractive aesthetic.” That approach allows the malt structure of a red ale and the bright hop expression to remain distinct.

Krush hops are used exclusively for dry hopping, sharpening the beer’s red-fruit character. Its moderate bitterness and layered aroma should appeal to IPA drinkers, while the red ale foundation makes it an interesting choice for anyone who enjoys malt-forward, hop-driven ales.

Beer Coffee Uchiyama is a neighborhood beer pub where guests can enjoy craft beer alongside coffee. Located on Yasuda-dori in Nagoya, the venue offers an easygoing setting for exploring beers from local breweries. Tap availability can change, so guests should check with the pub when visiting.
