AMATERASU Brewery Starts 8-Tap Service at a Beach House in Katase Nishihama
AMATERASU Brewery, the only craft brewery on Enoshima in Fujisawa, has begun pouring beer at the beach house PLAY THE EARTH on Katase Beach’s Nishihama, with eight taps available as the beach season gets underway.
A new way to drink beer has arrived on Enoshima’s shoreline. AMATERASU Brewery, the only craft brewery on Enoshima in Fujisawa, has started serving beer at the beach house 『PLAY THE EARTH』 on Katase Beach’s Nishihama. In its Instagram post, the brewery said it prepared eight taps and highlighted that visitors can combine beer with the beach now that swimming season has opened.
That beach-side setup fits the brewery’s broader identity. On its official site, AMATERASU describes itself as Enoshima’s first island brewery and says it offers freshly brewed beer through a taproom, along with a gallery space, a private room overlooking the sea, and a sauna. Its positioning is intentionally local and lifestyle-driven: relaxed, stylish, and rooted in Shonan and Enoshima culture.
The post also notes that the brewery’s main location is within walking distance after a stop at the beach house. For visitors to Enoshima, that creates an easy flow between the shoreline and the brewery itself: enjoy a drink by the sea, then head over to the taproom afterward.
AMATERASU has also emphasized collaborations with local businesses and sports culture, including projects inspired by Snow, Skate, and Surf. The new beach-house service extends that approach by making the brewery’s connection to place even more direct.
