Beerbar Festa Shimokitazawa lines up Ushiku, Setouchi and DDC! on July 15
Beerbar Festa (Festa) Shimokitazawa opened at 6 p.m. on July 15 and rolled out a tap list that mixed Japanese craft beers from Ushiku, Setouchi, Nomcraft, T.Y.HARBOR and Hansharo with imports from Burnt Mill, Left Hand and Dieu du Ciel!.
Beerbar Festa (Festa) Shimokitazawa, a beer pub on the 5th floor in Kitazawa, opened at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15. The bar said it had chilled towels ready for guests in the summer heat, and noted that weekday service runs until 1 a.m.
The tap list blended Japanese and imported beers. The domestic side included Ushiku Brewing's Wandervogel IPA, Setouchi Brewery's High Five IPA, Nomcraft's Dinosaur Zoo, Setouchi Brewery's Apricot Weizen, T.Y.HARBOR Brewery's Kanpai West Coast Pilsner, and Hansharo Beer Brewing's Coco Farm & Winery White. Coco Farm & Winery White was marked as nearly sold out. The regular Heartland was also on tap.
The imported taps were Burnt Mill Brewery's Fog, Left Hand Brewing's Milk Stout, and two beers from Dieu du Ciel!: Petit Morale and Rosée d'Hibiscus. Several of those were also listed as nearly sold out, so an earlier visit would give drinkers a better chance to catch the full lineup. For a Shimokitazawa beer pub, it was a broad, style-diverse day: IPA, Weizen, pilsner, stout and hibiscus-driven wheat beer all shared the board.
