First edition at Minamiota Station

On Sunday, July 19, 2026, the station forecourt at Hitoiki Space DONDON will host the first-ever Minamiota Beer Festival. The event runs from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with free admission and no reservation needed. Because the venue is right next to the station, it is easy to drop in before dinner or as part of a weekend beer crawl.

Breweries on site

Three breweries will pour craft beer at the event: Roto Brewery from Kami-Ooka, Minamiyokohama Beer Laboratory from Kanazawa-Bunko, and Yokohama Kanazawa Brewery from Nōkendai. Yokohama Kanazawa Brewery’s LaFusion Nasa is known for beer designed to pair with food, making it a natural fit for an event that combines beer and local dishes.

What kind of beer to expect

Representative beers seen in each brewery’s releases include Roto Brewery’s "Ichigo Milk", Minamiyokohama Beer Laboratory’s "Signboard Pale Ale", "Double IPA", and "Melon Sugiru Ale", as well as Yokohama Kanazawa Brewery’s "Harukaze Ale" and "YokohamaSeasideIPA". The lineup suggests a range from easy-drinking fruit beer to hop-forward IPAs and more expressive seasonal brews.

Food and atmosphere

Food vendors include Yokohama Kimijimaya, Wakayama Shoten, Sims Kitchen, Kororin-tei, and Kassel Cafe. Expect karaage, fried takoyaki, cheese balls, taco-style pita sandwiches, German bread, and hot dogs, all of which should pair well with beer. The venue also features an artificial-turf area and a tented seating area, so visitors can either stroll around or sit down and take their time. It is a compact, local-style event that brings together neighborhood breweries and food in a station-front setting.
