Tanba-Sasayama Zigzag Brewery will exhibit at "Bakuen HYOGO 2026," held on April 18 and 19 at JR Hyogo Station Canal Town Plaza. The venue is expected to gather breweries from 21 companies across Hyogo Prefecture, with more than 80 kinds of craft beer on offer.

Two Days of Hyogo Breweries Gathering

"Bakuen HYOGO 2026" is an event held as a food festival dedicated to Hyogo craft beer and local gourmet food. Admission is free, and this year's theme color is pink. In a bright, springtime atmosphere, the event is designed so visitors can compare beers from breweries across the prefecture.

The highlight is "Ishu Dogen ~In the Case of Sake~," a limited-brew beer created in collaboration with sake breweries. Fourteen of the 21 companies will participate, and they will simultaneously tap a beer that incorporates ingredients and techniques related to sake, such as sake lees, koji, sake rice, yeast, and brewing water.

Zigzag Brewery Joining from Tanba-Sasayama

Tanba-Sasayama Zigzag Brewery is a small microbrewery located in Fukusumi, Tanba-Sasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture. Its defining feature is that it uses more than 10 different yeasts and brews a wide variety of beers in small batches.

The brewery values a careful brewing process that does not spare time or effort, while making use of local ingredients and seasonal aromas. On its official website, it promotes delivering "a glass of happiness," and continues crafting beer that gently accompanies someone's day.

At the event, the appeal lies in being able to taste alongside brewers from other parts of Hyogo while learning about this brewery's philosophy. If you find a beer you love at the venue, it may also spark interest in the brewery's regular lineup.
