Izuya Shoten Introduces Five Guest Beers, Including Kyoto Brewing’s "Lost Blanket"
The beer pub Izuya Shoten in Tokyo’s Nakanobu updated its guest beer lineup on Instagram. Five beers, including IPA and sour ale styles, were featured from Kyoto Brewing, Uchu Brewing, and West Coast Brewing.
The beer pub Izuya Shoten in Nakanobu, Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo, posted an Instagram update announcing its new guest beers. This lineup features a total of five beers from three breweries: Kyoto Brewing, Uchu Brewing, and West Coast Brewing. It is a well-rounded selection with clearly defined personalities that makes comparison tasting especially enjoyable.
From Kyoto Brewing, the lineup includes "Lost Blanket," a Brett IPA fermented over time with Brettanomyces; "Irodori," an NZ Pilsner bursting with passion fruit character; and "Kudamono Seikatsu," a fruit sour ale that seems to blur the line between beer and juice. With different aroma directions and styles, the range makes it clear how broad the brewery’s lineup can be.
From Uchu Brewing comes "Galactic Path." It is an IPA that brings forward citrus and passion fruit aromas derived from Galaxy hops, and it is described as having a crisp, clean mouthfeel. It is a light, spring-friendly beer.
Also arriving from West Coast Brewing are the new Hazy IPA "TRIPLE CONE" and the re-release "Pinata Pale Ale." The former is a tropical Hazy IPA built on three overlapping hop varieties, while the latter is a California Pale Ale with refreshing grapefruit and lime notes plus a berry nuance. Its approachable 5.0% ABV is another highlight.
