Izuya Shoten, a neighborhood beer pub located in Tokyo’s Ebara-machi Shopping Street, has announced two new arrivals from VERTERE, a brewery based in Okutama, Tokyo.

Crowea | Hazy Pale Ale

Crowea is a 5.5% ABV Hazy Pale Ale with an IBU of 16. Its aroma combines tropical and stone-fruit notes with a subtle white-grape character. The palate is soft and light, with a fruit-forward flavor reminiscent of honeyed fruit.

Its juicy aromatics and relatively light body make it an approachable choice for drinkers who enjoy hop-driven fruit character without excessive weight.

Torenia | Saison

Torenia is a 6.0% ABV Saison with an IBU of 15. It offers rich malt flavors recalling bread and honey, alongside rustic rye-like toastiness and a gently spicy yeast-derived aroma. The finish is dry, while the texture remains soft and smooth.

Compared with the fruitier Crowea, Torenia focuses more on grain and fermentation character, making it a natural option for pairing with food or enjoying slowly.

Izuya Shoten serves as both a beer pub and a place where craft beer can be purchased. Visitors exploring the Ebara-machi area can compare these two distinct VERTERE styles while checking current availability at the shop.
