BEER HUNTING URAWA will serve the real ale version of Step Over IPA and a limited cask on April 18
BEER HUNTING URAWA will be open on Saturday, April 18 from 14:00 to 23:30, pouring U.B.P BREWERY's Step Over IPA at the same time in both the regular version and a hand-pumped real ale version. With a wide range of taps including Minoh Beer stout, it offers the kind of tasting experience you'd expect from a Kita-Urawa beer pub.
BEER HUNTING URAWA (2F-D, 4-3-7 Kita-Urawa, Urawa Ward, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture) will be open on Saturday, April 18 from 14:00 to 23:30. Food L.O. is 22:30 and drink L.O. is 23:00, and with its location just a 2-minute walk from the west exit of Kita-Urawa Station, it is set up to be easy to drop by even late in the day.
Featured Pour
The centerpiece of the day is U.B.P BREWERY's `Step Over IPA`. The regular version and the real ale version poured from a hand pump will be tapped at the same time, letting you compare the same beer and experience the differences for yourself. The real version is described as a one-cask-only offering, making it hard to miss for anyone who wants to experience how the pouring method changes the beer.
Tap List
From their own U.B.P BREWERY lineup, `Kick Off Pils`, `Step Over IPA`, `Meia Lua`, and `Bombonera` will be on tap. Guest beers include `TOHOKU PRIDE` and `Pray for 3.11` from BLACK TIDE BREWING, `Stuck&Flow` from Hoppushironi Brewing, `Minamichita Blood Orange IPA` from Y.MARKET, and `stout` from Minoh Beer, creating a broad range of styles from Pilsner, IPA, NZ pale ale, hazy double IPA, IPL, Roggenbier, and fruit IPA to stout.
Atmosphere
Inside the shop, the drink menu is being expanded as part of its move toward becoming more of a "craft drinking den," with options such as a lemon sour made with non-wax lemons from Mikurajima, Hiroshima, and a juicy ooni-oroshi sour with plenty of pulp. The food menu has also been revamped to match the introduction of the hand pump server, with a lineup that runs from specialty shumai and small plates to full meals. It is very much in keeping with BEER HUNTING URAWA's style: beer takes center stage, but pairing it with food is easy too. On a holiday with football, this is the kind of place you want to stop by and search for the beer that catches your eye.
