YUDANAKA BREWERY in Yamanouchi, Nagano, will once again release its anniversary wheat wine, “燈 -TOU-.” In an announcement published on September 7, 2026, the brewery confirmed that the beer will return as part of the celebration of its fourth anniversary. No information has yet been provided on the release date, quantity, price or alcohol content.

Wheat wine is a beer style known for its generous use of wheat malt, rich malt character and relatively high alcohol strength. Its full-bodied texture and sweetness make it particularly suited to slow, contemplative drinking. While the brewery has not disclosed a technical sheet or tasting notes for “TOU,” the beer is positioned as a special release for an anniversary occasion and may offer a deeper, more luxurious profile than the brewery’s everyday beers.

YUDANAKA BREWERY is located inside YUDANAKA BREWERY COMPLEX U, a day-trip destination in Yudanaka Onsen, Yamanouchi. The brewery grew out of the hot-spring inn Aburaya Tousen and develops “Aroma Craft Beer” inspired by hot springs, food and nature. Its beers place a strong emphasis on aroma and are designed to accompany relaxed moments, meals and gifts.

The brewery uses naturally sourced snowmelt water from the Yamanouchi area and produces beer on a small scale, working closely with local ingredients and the surrounding environment. Its portfolio includes the YUAGARI series, the seasonal Forest series and the Celebration series, which includes beers designed for special occasions.
