A limited can built around the moon
Yo-Ho Brewing will roll out a limited-edition "Yona Yona Ale Space Brothers collaboration design can" from mid-July, with nationwide distribution at Lawson and Natural Lawson stores. The 350 ml can is priced at 301 yen in Japan, uses the American pale ale style, and has an alcohol content of 5.5%.
The design is built around a shared symbol: the moon. The front keeps the familiar Yona Yona Ale look while adding the moon motif that runs through both works. The back features a memorable scene from Space Brothers, bringing the two worlds together on a single can.
Based in Saku, Nagano, Yo-Ho Brewing has built its reputation around craft beer that aims to make a clear impression. Its flagship Yona Yona Ale has long been one of the company’s best-known beers, and this collaboration fits the brewery’s habit of pairing beer with a strong story or theme.
A portion of sales from the release will be donated to the Serika Fund, which supports research into the causes and treatment of ALS. Beyond the limited availability, the project also links a beer purchase to a charitable cause. The product will also be available at YONA YONA TOKYO BREWERY.
