BEER BAR Bitter in Tsukudacho, Shinjuku, Tokyo, has announced that it will open at 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 1. Its tap list brings together four beers spanning American, Japanese, and Belgian brewing traditions.

The lineup starts with Trapdoor Brewing’s Pilsner, a Czech Style Lager from the United States. Its crisp profile and restrained bitterness make it an approachable first pour and a versatile pairing for food.

Varietal Beer Co.’s Introspector follows with a Hazy Double IPA. Compared with the lager, this beer offers a fuller body and a more expressive hop character for drinkers looking for a richer, more aromatic pour.

From Kyoto, Asobi Beer contributes Yosano Fresh Hop IPA. As its name suggests, the beer highlights the character of fresh hops, offering a seasonal Japanese perspective on the IPA style.

The Belgian selection is Genevier from Brasserie de la Senne, presented as a Belgian Pale Ale. Its malt and yeast-driven character provides a different kind of depth from the American-style IPA offerings.

With a crisp lager, a hazy double IPA, a seasonal fresh hop IPA, and a Belgian pale ale, BEER BAR Bitter’s October 1 tap list offers a compact tour of contrasting beer styles. The pub is located in Iidabashi and opens from 4 p.m. that day.
