The beer pub Korinbo Jibilba in Katamachi, Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, has sent in its spring tap lineup. In the post, manager Sunayama greets readers with "Hello, I'm Sunayama!" and also mentions the cherry blossoms in Kanazawa being at their best, the lively weekend streets, and the three new part-time staff members who recently joined.
The blackboard inside lists eight beers available in two sizes, Glass 473 ml and Small 295 ml. The centerpiece this time is Jokun Brewing Lab's "Basha Uma Lager". It is listed as a Hoppy Lager with an ABV of 4.5%, and is introduced as a beer that pairs well with food.
The other taps also have distinct personalities. Grains of Wrath's "Frost Hammer" from Oregon in the U.S. is a Helles Lager, Green Cheek × Yokohama Bay Brewing's "Suitcase Of Yuzu Gose" is a Gose with bright yuzu acidity. Inkhorn Brewing's "Osprey" is a West Coast Triple IPA, Baird Beer's "Imperial IPA" is a classic IPA, Brew Classic's "Wolf Chop" is a Wheat IPA, Nara Brewing's "Underwater" is a SAKE YEAST BEER, and Baird Beer's "Black Ship Porter" rounds things out.
Korinbo Jibilba is also known as a beer pub with food that pairs well with craft beer. With house-made dumplings and fish and chips as signature dishes, it's the kind of place where you can browse the blackboard and enjoy side-by-side tastings in different sizes. In early spring in Kanazawa, this was a tap lineup that made you want to check each interesting label one glass at a time.
