A Night of Layered Sound and Flavor

Joint Brewing, located in Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture, in front of Orange Beach, announced an event on Instagram titled "A slightly special night of sound and flavor." This time it will be held as Otokoya presents Vol. 3! Shamisen × Beer, a program that pairs the sound of the shamisen with craft beer.

According to the post, it will be an evening you can enjoy with free admission, and the special guest will be Shamisen Sakura-chan. In addition to enjoying the performance with a beer in hand, British afternoon tea will also be available. Reservations are required, and afternoon tea is 2,500 yen + one drink order. Meals and table reservations are accepted by DM or through the official website, while counter seats are guided in order of arrival.

Joint Brewing is a brewery whose name and shop concept reflect the idea of a "place where people gather." On its official website, it explains the background of the name, which comes from owner-brewer Brian's family, and its wish to be a place where people can gather while feeling the breeze by the sea. Making use of its location in Ito, the brewery has consistently paired music and events, making this feel very much like one of its signature offerings.

The combination of enjoying craft beer with Japanese instruments and British tea time is unusual even among Joint Brewing's events. It is likely to appeal not only to beer lovers but also to anyone interested in live music, and it may broaden the ways to spend an evening in Ito.
