KBL THE GARAGE, located in Kyoto's Shimogyo Ward as the second location of Kyoto Beer Lab, brewed an original beer for NOHGA Hotel Kiyomizu Kyoto and its restaurant CICON. In an Instagram post, it was introduced as a project tied to the hotel's 4th anniversary, and the beer was identified as "Shikon / CICON Shosai."

The name comes from the phrase that also inspired CICON's name. According to the post, what CICON values is an uncompromising approach to ingredients and methods, along with craftsmanship. To express that philosophy in beer, KBL THE GARAGE said it also poured in its own passion.

The brewing style is Session IPA. It is finished with an emphasis on gentle sweetness, a lively aroma, and a crisp, refreshing finish that never gets old. Designed to balance light drinkability with a strong aromatic presence, it seems like a beer that would work well with meals.

The beer will be served at CICON by NOHGA HOTEL inside NOHGA Hotel Kiyomizu Kyoto, including the restaurant, bakery, and rooftop bar. It is being introduced as a limited release, positioned as a "session" that connects the hotel, restaurant, brewery, and drinker. Within Kyoto's craft beer scene, it can be seen as a collaboration where the local setting and the venue's context fit together beautifully.
