A herb garden experience linked to the brewery

MOKICHI KAMAKURA is housed in a brick building renovated from the former Kamakura waterworks pumping station. Inside, the space is open and refined, and the restaurant highlights dishes made with herbs harvested from its own garden and fermented ingredients associated with Kumazawa Brewery. The setting blends local Kamakura character with the brewery’s hands-on, maker-focused approach.

Herb harvesting for Kamakura Herb Saison

The event is titled "Herb Garden Project: Kamakura Herb Saison Herb Harvest Experience" and will take place on June 25, 2026, from 10:00 to 13:30. The participation fee is 5,000 yen, which includes a recommended course and one drink. Guests will harvest herbs used as ingredients in Shonan Beer’s Kamakura Herb Saison, which is released every July. Under the guidance of Shonan Beer brewmaster Tsutsui, participants can learn about beer brewing and herbs. After the harvest, a meal gathering will be held at the restaurant.

Beers served at the restaurant

MOKICHI KAMAKURA lists Shonan Beer in six styles: Pilsner, Alt, Schwarz, Golden Ale, American IPA, and Seasonal Beer. In addition, the menu includes Seasonal Shonan Beer and Seasonal Premium Shonan Beer. That range gives guests several ways to pair beer with the restaurant’s herb-driven dishes and fermentation-based cooking. The cellar-level brewery shop also sells sake, beer, and craft gin produced by Kumazawa Brewery, making the venue appealing for both dining and takeaway purchases.
