Korinbo Jibiruba previews anniversary beer with Brew Classic
Korinbo Jibiruba, a craft-beer pub in Kanazawa’s Katamachi district, shared a look at its anniversary-beer brew day with Brew Classic on Instagram. The beer is being brewed toward a clear, clean, dank West Coast IPA profile, with release planned for mid to late June.
A look at the brew day
According to Jibiruba’s Instagram post, the team helped with and observed the brewing of its anniversary beer at Brew Classic on Friday, May 22. The post notes that the brewery was filled with the sweet aroma of malt and the hoppy fragrance of the mash and boil.
For this project, Jibiruba asked for a beer that would land as a clear, clean, dank West Coast IPA. The idea was to channel the memorable beers the team has been drinking over the past year into a special anniversary release. The label is also said to be designed by Ayaka, so the finished package should be as appealing visually as it is in the glass.
Korinbo Jibiruba is a craft-beer-focused beer pub in Katamachi, Kanazawa. The shop serves around eight draft beers at a time, drawn directly from breweries in Hokuriku, across Japan, and overseas. Its food menu includes house-made gyoza and dishes built around local ingredients, making it an easy place to pair beer with a proper meal. On weekends and holidays, it opens from 3 p.m., which also makes it a good daytime drinking spot.
The beer is scheduled for release in the middle to latter part of June. By sharing the brew-day process in advance, the post gives a clear sense of the flavor direction and the care behind the beer before it reaches the tap.
