Kyoto’s SUNSET SUNDAY Brings Craft Beer and Music to City Hall Square
Co-organized by Kobayashi Saketen, SUNSET SUNDAY takes place at Kyoto City Hall Square on November 2, 2025. The free event brings together craft beer, sake, wine, food, DJs, and live performances for an afternoon of Kyoto culture.

Craft beer, food, and music in central Kyoto
SUNSET SUNDAY, co-organized by Kobayashi Saketen, will take place at Kyoto City Hall Square on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Admission is free, with the event subject to cancellation in case of rain. The program combines DJ and artist performances with craft beer, sake, wine, and food in an open public setting.
Participating food and drink vendors include Kobayashi Saketen, Kyoto Beer Lab, Kyoto Brewing Co., NUDE BEER, Flora Fermentation, Matsui Sake Brewery, Diony, and BAR NAMIUCHIGIWA. Craft beer fans can expect a selection centered on Kyoto breweries and beer-focused venues, making the event a good opportunity to compare different interpretations of local brewing culture while listening to music. Sake and wine will also be available, creating a broader showcase of Kyoto’s drinks scene.
Kobayashi Saketen is a beer pub located on Shinkyogoku Street in Kyoto’s Nakagyo Ward. Its central location makes it an easy stop during a walk through the city, and its participation gives the event a direct connection to Kyoto’s craft beer community.
Food vendors are scheduled to offer items such as banh mi, bagels, and tacos, giving visitors plenty of options to pair with their drinks. The music lineup includes DJ MAO F., DoitJAZZ!, NABOWA, and Shuya Okino. An after-party is also planned at CLUB METRO after the daytime gathering.
