HAZY LABO to close its Shin-Sayama tasting room on June 27
HAZY LABO, the Saitama brewery specializing in Hazy IPA, said it will close its tasting room in Shin-Sayama on Saturday, June 27, because severe weather is expected as two typhoons move through the area. The brewery is located about a one-minute walk from Shin-Sayama Station, with a tasting room next to the brewhouse, so safety takes priority when the weather turns rough.
At the same time, two new hazies are already on tap from June 26: Nectere / QDH Hazy IPA / 4.5% and Tropical Fusion / TDH Hazy IPA / 8.5%. Nectere uses Citra, Mosaic and Tropical Fusion, while Tropical Fusion is a New Zealand field blend from Freestyle Hops built around Riwaka, Southern Cross and Motueka. In the caption, HAZY LABO also explains the hop character in detail, including tropical fruit notes and the diesel-like edge that can appear with this lot.
The post also mentions The Bruce, another field-blend hop product that HAZY LABO has brewed with before. In past batches, the brewery describes it as showing mango, peach and apricot-like fruit character.
On a normal day, HAZY LABO offers 14 Hazy IPA beers and a blend-focused serving option called Blend Hazy×3. It is a compact, modern tasting room built for comparing different expressions of Hazy IPA, rather than chasing flashy gimmicks. Once the weather clears, it remains a strong stop for drinkers who want to explore the style in depth.
