Kusatsu Craft Beer Land is a craft beer event held at Kusatsu River Atochi Park deai Hiroba. Breweries from Shiga, Kyoto, and Nara are scheduled to gather, offering visitors the chance to enjoy a range of distinctive beers on tap. A food-focused event will take place at the same time, making it possible to pair local dishes and festival food with the beers. The event is free to enter and also includes family-friendly activities such as an outdoor mini-cinema.
Based in Nagahama, Shiga, Nagahama Roman Beer has been brewing craft beer since 1996. Its facilities include a brewery and a restaurant housed in a renovated Edo-period rice storehouse. The brewery continues to produce its established core beers while also developing seasonal and limited releases.
The company is also connected with Nagahama Distillery, which operates on the same premises. This combination of brewing and whisky distilling has made Nagahama Roman Beer a distinctive producer rooted in the local community.
Visitors to Kusatsu can look forward to tasting Nagahama Roman Beer alongside beers from other regional breweries. The event offers an opportunity to explore the character of Shiga beer while enjoying an open-air weekend centered on craft beer and food.
