HAZY LABO, a brewery in Sayama, Saitama, will set up at "Tomoenichi," held on Sunday, May 31 at Sayama Hachiman Shrine. The event, taking place near Sayamashi Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line, looks like a chance to enjoy craft beer in a local atmosphere.
The beer most prominently highlighted in this post is Trinity Glow EX V2/QDH Hazy IPA / 7.5%. It will be released in both cans and one-way kegs, and is being introduced as an experimental brew that tried a saccharification process without using a double mash.
The hops used are Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe. In terms of aroma, the profile is said to center on grapefruit, passion fruit, and guava, layered with yellow peach, mango, citrus, and thiol-like elements. The post also notes that, although the beer is still a little under two months old since brewing, its aroma has gradually deepened through conditioning at room temperature.
Alongside that, HAZY LABO is currently also featuring Lowrider. As a lower-alcohol-leaning Hazy, it is one example of the brewery's ongoing effort to explore the balance between sweetness and residual sugar, showing how deeply it continues to develop its expression of Hazy IPA.
HAZY LABO is a brewery that lets people enjoy not only Hazy IPA, but also the changes that come from brewing techniques and aging. At Tomoenichi, it should be possible to encounter a fruity, full-bodied pint along with the atmosphere of the shrine grounds.
