Otakobeer, located in the Kasuga area of Chiba's Nishi-Chiba district, has brought in bottled beers from Amakuuku, a brewery based in Nasushiobara, Tochigi. Otakobeer operates as a standing beer bar with a bottle-shop format, offering its own house beers alongside guest beers on tap.

This time, four bottles arrived, each with a different profile.

- `Tetote 2026`
A beer centered on the umami character of wheat, with a gentle, sweet aroma from the yeast.
- `Madobe 2026`
Built around the toasty depth of roasted malt, with a rich flavor profile and a sweet-tart fruit note.
- `Oro 2026`
A bright beer made with sweetie citrus, bringing fresh citrus notes along with a slightly tart and spicy finish.
- `Kiki 2026`
A gruit ale brewed without hops, using houttuynia, chamomile, yarrow, mugwort, and shiso seeds instead.

In its post, Otakobeer described Amakuuku's beers as something like a friend who quietly stays by your side. That framing matches the lineup: beers that seem less focused on bold showmanship and more on aroma, texture, and a calm finish.

Amakuuku is known for beers that emphasize ingredients and a softer drinking experience. These bottles look suited both for home drinking and for opening on site at the bar. For beer drinkers in the area, this is a lineup worth checking at the shop in Nishi-Chiba.
