Okhotsk Beer Factory Launches Scallop & Asparagus Fair for June
Okhotsk Beer Factory in Kitami, Hokkaido, has released its June 2026 menu. Centered on a fair featuring seasonal scallops and asparagus, it offers early-summer dining ideas to enjoy in-house, from a 31st-anniversary limited beer to service lunch and monthly lunch specials.
Early-summer menu from a Kitami brewery
Okhotsk Beer Factory is a Kitami-based brewery that acquired Japan's first craft beer brewing license in 1994, and operates as a facility that combines a restaurant and a brewery. In its June 2026 menu, it will hold a "Scallop & Asparagus Fair" featuring scallops and asparagus now in season.
Fair menu
- Meat-wrapped asparagus 980 yen
- Gratin with asparagus and a soft-boiled egg 1,200 yen
- Scallop sashimi 950 yen
- Butter-grilled scallops 1,050 yen
- Asparagus bacon 980 yen
- Deluxe salt yakisoba 2,200 yen (with 3 times the amount of scallops)
Not only dishes centered on scallops, but also hot asparagus dishes and bacon dishes are on the lineup, making it easy to build a meal around them. The deluxe salt yakisoba stands out for its volume, with three times the scallops.
Lunch and limited beer
Service lunch offers "Scallop Curry" for 1,100 yen, and the monthly lunch features "Ajillo Pasta with Scallops and Asparagus" for 1,600 yen. In addition, a limited-quantity Hazy IPA arrives as a 31st-anniversary special beer, served in-house at 600 yen per glass, 880 yen per mug, and 2,600 yen per pitcher. Bottled beer will also be sold, so it can be enjoyed both on-site and to go.
This June menu feels like a direct reflection of the flow of Okhotsk Beer nurtured in Kitami. With seasonal local ingredients and house-brewed beer together, it's a place to keep in mind for an early-summer visit.
