Beer pub Taru Taru in Kawaramachi, Takamatsu, is featuring 071Fuku Peach Gose from Kyufuku Brewing Honjima, a brewery based on Honjima Island in Kagawa Prefecture.

The beer is a peach gose made with Shimizu Hakuto and Okayama Yume Hakuto peaches, supplied with the cooperation of Sato Orchard in Asakuchi, Okayama. The peaches were carefully processed into purée and added directly to the fermentation tank.

Listed as “Gose w/Peach,” the beer combines the style’s characteristic acidity and gentle salinity with an elegant white-peach aroma. It has an ABV of 4% and an IBU of 13, making it light and approachable enough to enjoy alongside food.

Kyufuku Brewing Honjima recommends drinking it from a glass and taking time to observe how its aroma changes as the temperature rises. Served colder, it should highlight its refreshing character; with a little warming, the peach fragrance and the balance of acidity and salt may become more pronounced.

At Taru Taru, this guest beer offers a chance to explore the flavors of Kagawa and Okayama in a single pour. It should appeal to drinkers who enjoy fruit-forward sour ales, gently salty beers, and refreshing options that work well with a meal.
