Sakura Taps opens Ujotengenjo's Montara and refreshes its eight taps on July 1
Sakura Taps, a craft beer pub in Hanasaki-cho, Yokohama, opened on Wednesday, July 1 from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The bar added one new beer, Ujotengenjo's Montara, a dry Belgian blonde with citrus and herbal notes, alongside an eight-beer lineup.
On Wednesday, July 1, Sakura Taps updated its in-house BGM playlist, "Sakura Taps Music," and added one new beer to the board.
The new arrival is Montara from Ujotengenjo. According to the bar's post, it is a dry Belgian blonde made with hops harvested in Hokuto, Yamanashi. The beer is described as showing citrus and herbal aromas from Kiyosato Cascade and Kaikogane hops, together with fruity and spicy fermentation-derived notes. The name Montara comes from Bobby Hutcherson's 1975 album of the same name.
The full tap list for the day features eight beers:
- All you need is Flower / Yorocco Beer
- Yoshidamachi Helles 2026 / Sakura Taps × Numazu Craft
- Missing Panda / Shirosuzume
- Oaxaca / Cycad Brewing
- Erykah / Barbaric Works
- Montara / Ujotengenjo
- TIMMUR / Nara Brewing × OLD NEPAL TOKYO
- Lactophilia / Kyoto Brewing × Totopia Brewery
For beer drinkers, it is a lineup that mixes house collaborations, regional brewers, and the new Belgian blonde in one place. At Sakura Taps, the focus stays on a relaxed beer-pub atmosphere where you can compare styles and enjoy the music along with the glass in hand.
