The brewery was established through a collaboration among local food-service businesses. Its official mission is to strengthen connections among restaurants and producers while contributing to the region’s food culture. Kawasemi Brew, the beer brand’s name, refers to Machida’s municipal bird, the kingfisher.
The brewery’s flagship location near Machida Station serves beers sent directly from the brewery alongside food. For drinkers seeking out YOAKE, the key point of interest is the contrast between its roasted aroma and its crisp, dry finish.
