Tempura Event at Beer O'clock

At Beer O'clock, a beer pub in Fujimi, Chuo Ward, Chiba City, "Wa to, Futo Beer 2026 Early Summer ~ Tempura Edition ~" will be held on May 31. The event starts at 13:00 and ends when sold out. The venue will be open from 12:00 to 22:00, so the event is structured to be enjoyed from the afternoon into the evening.

For this edition, Chef Ogi, the head chef from a Japanese restaurant in Aoyama, will appear as a one-day chef. The theme is tempura made with seasonal ingredients, marking a return after last spring's event. True to Beer O'clock, the menu centers on beer and cider that complement the food, making it clearly a style meant to be enjoyed together with the meal.

Cider and Beer Introduced for the Event

The pairings selected by Ogi are two bottles: Mugizakkoku Kobo "Summer's Door" (Hoppy Saison) and OK,ADAM "HALU" (Perry inspired). It's a combination that broadens drinkers' imagination, asking how the savory aroma of tempura oil and the sweetness of seasonal vegetables will be received by a hoppy saison and a fermented drink reminiscent of pear.

New TAP for the Day

The new taps announced for the day are the following four beers.

- OK,ADAM "HALU" (Perry inspired / 5.0%)
- Baird "Shizuoka Summer Mikan Ale" (Fruit Ale / 5.0%)
- CRAFTROCK "Wakakusa" (NZ Pils / 5.0%)
- Sankt Gallen "Green Bullet HAZY" (Hazy IPA / 7.5%)

From fruit-forward brews to a pilsner with the refreshing aroma of fresh grass and a hazy IPA that foregrounds juicy hop character, the lineup suits the warmer season well. Beer O'clock is known as a beer pub in the Chiba Station area that serves craft beer seriously, and this time as well it presents ways to enjoy both the food event and the taps.
