Canal brewing is a brewery and craft beer specialty shop at 1-26-4 Oi, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo. The interior is a standing-style space of about 15 seats, designed so craft beer can stand out even more. It is fully cashless and does not accept cash, and stroller use is welcome.

In this post, the new tap introduced was `Faló Brewing / Chonk (Double IPA)`. At 8.5% ABV, the post described tropical aromas from Southern Hemisphere hops and a drinking experience that doesn’t make the alcohol feel overly strong.

The “Today’s Tap List” included `Canal brewing C #3 (IPA)`, `Nomcraft Brewing Mystic Tiger (Hazy IPA)`, `Faló Brewing Chonk (Double IPA)`, `FLORA FERMENTATION Lupus -Strata- (Pale Ale)`, `MAHOWBREW Muninn (Munich-style Helles)`, `Green Neighbors Hard Cider SOUR TOKI ver. (Hard Cider)`, `THREE ARROWS BREWING Funky Monkey Mango (Fruits Pale Ale)`, and `RIOT BEER DarkLands -Nitro Ver- (Belgian Stout)`. In addition to an IPA comparison, the lineup also includes a Helles, hard cider, and even a nitro Belgian stout, making the breadth of styles especially eye-catching.

What feels quintessentially Canal brewing is the way these day-to-day selections naturally blend with the local atmosphere of Oimachi. It’s easy to walk over from the station, and the place works both for a quick single drink and for working through several styles in sequence. Event information from after April 21 was also included, making this a post that clearly shows the shop’s activity alongside its regular tap updates.
