New pours at Kazenori Merry

Kazenori Merry, a craft beer pub in Roppongi, Tokyo, has introduced a fresh selection of beers on tap. The current lineup highlighted by the pub includes Ushitora’s Mosaic Edge, Revision Brewing’s Revision IPA, and Lambiek Fabriek 2024 from Lambiek Fabriek.

Beer drinkers looking for hop character may want to start with Mosaic Edge or Revision IPA. Tasting the two side by side should offer an opportunity to compare their aromatic profiles and bitterness. Lambiek Fabriek 2024 adds another dimension to the lineup, giving guests a choice beyond hop-forward beers.

As tap availability can change, guests should confirm the current pours at the pub when visiting.

Nuka-pickled pork steak has also changed

The food menu now features a new version of the pub’s nuka-pickled pork steak. The dish uses cubed pork, mainly from the shoulder area, with a variety of cuts included. The pub notes that leaner pieces can be surprisingly flavorful as well as fattier sections.

The pork is aged at home for around six years, seasoned with Mei R1BY from Kumezakura Brewery, and finished with smoking. Although it is not a beer, the sake-based preparation adds an interesting angle to the dish and creates another possible pairing with the beers on tap.

Located in the basement in Roppongi, Kazenori Merry is known for serving craft beer alongside curry and spice-focused dishes. The new pork preparation and current tap lineup make it a worthwhile stop for drinkers seeking both beer variety and food with a distinctive Japanese character.
