Canal brewing Updates Its Spring Tap List with 8 NOMCRAFT Beers and 7 Selections from Across Japan
At Canal brewing in Oimachi, eight cans from NOMCRAFT Brewing and tap pours from around Japan have arrived. Inside the standing-style shop, a wide range of beers, from IPAs to sours and stouts, is lined up.
Canal brewing, within walking distance of Oimachi Station, is a brewery and craft beer specialty shop where the owner carefully selects craft beers from all over Japan. It has up to 10 taps and can be enjoyed casually while standing, and because glass sizes come in four options, it is easy to try beers in the way that suits you best.
In this post, the shop first announces the arrival of eight canned beers from NOMCRAFT Brewing. The lineup includes the IPA "Moonbow Sheep," the Vienna-style "NOMCLASSIC WEIZEN DOPPELBOCK," the imperial brown ale "Habano Noir," the Helles lager "Nomcraft Lager," the Dip Hop IPA "Octopus King," "Knight Fisherman," "Banana Kick," and the Hazy Triple IPA "The Beast." The range spans IPA, lager, brown ale, and doppelbock, making it easy to compare styles side by side.
The accompanying "Today's Tap List" features Canal brewing's "C #3 (IPA)," along with "NARA CRUSH (Rice Lager)," "窯焚物語 第一楽章 着火の儀 (West Coast IPA)," "BLOSSOM SYNDICATE (HAZY PALE ALE)," "berry belly (blueberry sour)," "OLD SHILLING Scottish Heavy (Scottish Ale)," and "DarkLands -Nitro Ver- (Belgian Stout)." With IPA, lager, sour, Scottish ale, and stout all represented, it is a lineup that lets you choose based on your mood.
The post also notes that as temperatures rise, drinking outdoors may be especially appealing. It fits Canal brewing's stated mission of sharing the appeal of Oimachi through craft beer, and it is the kind of place worth stopping by when looking for a springtime pint. In addition, from April onward, there are plans for non-beer events too, including FUJI ROCK NIGHTS, curry pop-ups, anniversary events, and a NOMCRAFT BREWING tap takeover.
