Two New U.S. IPAs Tapped at Beer Bar Festa Shimokitazawa, Along with Domestic Draft Beers
At Beer Bar Festa Shimokitazawa in Shimokitazawa, a post on April 26 announced two new taps. Hetty Alice's "Island Time IPA" and Threes' "Fool's Eland" were added, alongside a broad lineup of domestic draft beers and regular beers.
Beer Bar Festa Shimokitazawa, a beer pub on the 5th floor of the Daishin Building in Shimokitazawa, updated its tap list on April 26. The post said, "We open at 6 p.m. today as well," and noted that Sunday hours run until midnight. With darts available inside the shop, it feels very much like Festa to spend time here while drinking craft beer on draft.
The highlights of the day were the two newly tapped beers. Both are from the United States: Hetty Alice's "Island Time IPA" is an IPA built on a West Coast-style framework layered with New World hop character. The other, Threes' "Fool's Eland," is introduced as a West Coast Double IPA that brings tropical notes into a clean, crisp drinking profile.
Looking at the full lineup, the Japanese selections include Open Air's "Good Times," Shiga Kogen's "Fresh Hop Grisette," Setouchi's "Cherry & Strawberry," Forest's "Campfire Dunkel," and the regular beer "Heartland." Overseas offerings include BrewDog's "Double Hazy Jane," Burnt Mill's "Crimson Highway," Threes' "Between the Lines," and Silver City's "Hefeweizen." Some beers are down to just a small remaining quantity, so it is a lineup worth checking for its fast turnover as well.
The post also mentioned future candidates such as Reflection, Y Market, Burnt Mill, DDC!, Threes, Shiga Kogen, Left Hand, BrewDog, Thornbridge, Bia Heun, and Rip Brew. As a shop that always keeps 12 taps flowing with domestic and imported drafts, it is hard to miss for anyone in Shimokitazawa looking to choose the beer of the day.
