Collaboration background

Minoh Beer is a brewery based in Minoh, Osaka. This release, KOMPAS, is a collaboration with YOROCCO BEER. The two breweries have continued an annual exchange brew tradition, supported by the long-standing connection that began when Minoh Beer's brewhouse equipment was moved to YOROCCO BEER.

What KOMPAS is like

This year's KOMPAS again uses saison yeast and a generous amount of fresh plums sourced from Wakayama. According to the brewery, the finished beer combines a light malt body with the complex, elegant aroma typical of saison, plus the gentle, moderate acidity and subtle fruit character of plums. As fermentation and maturation progress, the plum character gradually integrates into the beer, creating a rounded finish.
