In Katamachi, Kanazawa, a lavish collaboration guest beer makes its debut

At the beer pub "Korinbo Jivilba" in Katamachi, Kanazawa City, an announcement for a guest beer has been posted. In the post, Shiga Kogen Beer × Oxbow × Dogfish Head 'Kind of God' was introduced as the beer now on tap.

This beer is an Imperial IPA w/ rice & honey. The post explains that it has a clean citrus character reminiscent of hassaku, with a subtle sweetness and a dry finish. It is described as being easy to drink, with none of the 8% ABV feeling heavy.

Korinbo Jivilba is known as Kanazawa's first craft beer specialty shop. With no cover charge, it always offers eight rotating draft craft beers selected from breweries in Japan and abroad, and on weekends and holidays it opens from daytime, making it an easy place to stop by when you want your first drink early.

The food menu is also beer-friendly, featuring signature handmade dumplings, water dumplings, and house-smoked items. In this post as well, Sunayama commented, "I think it goes extremely well with the Japanese snacks I make. Especially bamboo shoots!!" The appeal comes through of enjoying an IPA with a clear hop profile together with seasonal Japanese small plates.

What makes Korinbo Jivilba distinctive is that you can enjoy not only tracking the beer lineup, but also how it pairs with food. If you're drinking a guest beer in Kanazawa, this is one to remember.
