Miyakoji Hop Garden Brewery Announces NekoMA Limited Beer
On March 9, 2026, Miyakoji Hop Garden Brewery (Fukushima) announced an original beer in collaboration with Hoshino Resorts Nekoma Mountain. The limited label uses a design inspired by a "white bakeneko," and sales will be limited to Nekoma Mountain only.
On Miyakoji Hop Garden Brewery's official Instagram account, a collaboration project titled "《Happy News》" was posted. According to the post, the brewery produced an original beer together with Hoshino Resorts Nekoma Mountain. For the label, it adopted the image of a "#white bakeneko" overlapping with Mt. Nekoma, creating a limited-edition design that captures the atmosphere of a winter mountain.
The post says this beer is being sold "only here," and the place you can get it is limited to Nekoma Mountain. The same post also listed the operating period for the 25-26 season (planned) as November 29, 2025 to May 6, 2026 (the South Area: December 13, 2025 to April 5, 2026), positioning it as a drink to enjoy on the snowy mountain through early spring.
What makes this initiative especially interesting is that it overlaps with the brewery's own origins. According to the official Hop Japan website, the company renovated the public facility "Green Park Miyakoji" in Tamura, Fukushima, and opened "Hop Garden Brewery" on November 1, 2020, a brewery that handles hop cultivation from the start. It has emphasized building a cycle that connects local primary industry with brewing and sales. Joint development like this with a tourism destination is also noteworthy as a way to reconnect Fukushima's local character with craft beer.
Enjoying a beer you can only find there after a run on the slopes. This collaboration seems worth enjoying not only for its exclusivity, but also for the context of a brewery rooted in its region.
