Kokura Brewing Guest Beer at Brasserie SOMA

The brewpub "Brasserie SOMA (Kokura Brewing)" in Uomachi, Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu, announced a new tap-in on Instagram. The beer now available is Kokura Brewing's "Rukotsu American Belgo."

According to the post, this beer was brewed using the same recipe as the batch made on the day before the Tanga Market fire in April 2022. It is being offered for the fourth time this season, and is said to finish with a bright aroma and a strong citrus-like flavor from the hops.

Brasserie SOMA is a brewpub where you can enjoy not only beer but also sake and wine. In the Kokura/Uomachi area, which still carries the atmosphere of the market district, its appeal is that you can casually enjoy brewed drinks with a meal. With talk of in-house brewing and guest beers lining the menu, it's the kind of place craft beer fans will want to keep an eye on for tap changes.

In this post, the bar mainly highlighted its evening hours, while also noting that it offers lunch service on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. It's a place worth remembering when you're looking for a first drink near Kokura Station or want somewhere to stop for a meal and a beer.
