Guest beer updates at Extra Hop in Oita

At craft beer "Extra Hop," located on the first floor of the Okuno Hosomichi Building at 2-6-25 Chuo-machi, Oita City, an Instagram post announced a change in the guest beer lineup. The shop is a beer pub with seven taps available at all times, featuring a calm space centered on wooden walls and beer descriptions written by the owner himself.

The first thing that stands out in this post is DevilCraft Brewery's new IPA, `Flamekeeper`. It is being introduced as a beer that lets you fully enjoy hop aroma, and it looks like a glass that IPA fans will want to try. In addition, `CAL DUSK`, a collaboration between `Extra Hop` and `BEPPU BREWERY`, is also on offer. A pairing with a local Beppu brewery can be seen as a lineup where the shop's character and regional identity overlap.

Other beers include `BALDYS`' `Summer Mandarin Saison`, which is said to be close to running out, and a limited IPA from `TOPA TOPA`, which is also moving toward the end of its run. On top of that, the shop's 4th-anniversary beer has reached its 12th keg, showing that it too is entering its final stretch. The rapid turnover from keg to keg is very much like Extra Hop, where the character changes depending on when you visit.

The post also included business information: from May 2 to May 5, the shop will be open from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; it will be closed on May 6 and May 10; and a collaboration event with `Le TAMAÏ` is scheduled for May 15 to 17. For anyone near Oita Station who wants to enjoy carefully selected kegs and the owner's eye for beer, this is a place worth checking out.
