Four draft beers on tap

Chiitoko Shoten, a neighborhood beer pub combining craft beer, coffee, and dagashi sweets, will open from 10:00 to 22:00 on September 7 in Shimosuwa, Nagano. The day’s lineup includes one newly tapped beer: Shiga Kogen Beer’s Indian Summer Saison.

At 7.0% ABV, Indian Summer Saison is a hop-forward saison designed to remain enjoyable into late autumn. The brewery describes it as a saison with an IPA-like character, combining juicy citrus notes, saison-style spice, and a firm bitterness. The listed beer style is Belgian IPA.

The remaining taps offer a broad range of profiles. Yokohama Bay Brewing’s Bay Pilsner is a 5.0% Bohemian Pilsner. Field Ales’ Nice Pace is a 5.5% Pale Ale from Shinano, Nagano. Minoh Beer’s Kokusan Momo Weizen Hakuho is a 5.0% wheat beer brewed with Japanese peach, offering a fruit-led alternative to the hop-driven saison.

Chiitoko Shoten is known for bringing together nostalgic dagashi sweets, carefully selected craft beer, and coffee in a relaxed setting. Beer-friendly baked goods include sausage rolls, banana bread, scones, brownies, cookies, and ice cream. Guests can pair a draft beer with a sweet snack, or settle in with coffee and a pastry.

The shop also provides a nursing and diaper-changing room, and strollers may be brought inside depending on crowd levels. Payment is made in advance by cash or PayPay. The shop is located at 3217-5 Mita-machi-shimo, Shimosuwa, Suwa District, Nagano. Check the shop’s social media before visiting for the latest availability and operating details.
