Ryusendo Wakka, a tourism hub in Iwaizumi Town, Iwate Prefecture, will release its new canned beer, "Harukasumi IPA", on a limited basis starting May 2 from its in-house brewery, Ryusendo Viber.

The facility includes a taproom where visitors can enjoy beer made with Ryusendo water and locally sourced ingredients, along with a shop selling souvenirs, vegetables, and alcoholic beverages, plus a brewery. On its official website, it says it produces craft beer using Ryusendo water and local ingredients, and introduces the new beer as one created by the long-established sake maker Izumikin Shuzo.

In the same post, in-store events during Golden Week were also announced in one place. For example, there will be locally flavored pop-ups such as a strawberry fair by the Tanohata-based patisserie Fierte, steamed oysters and mitarashi dango from the first-time vendor Kakeashi no Kai, and grilled squid by Kaishinmaru from May 2 to 4. In addition, the crepe food truck SUGAR K is also scheduled to appear on May 6 only.

On the food side, the Ryusendo Wakka in-store cafe is also debuting the "Wakka Cutlet Sandwich" and Tanka beef curry. Centered on the limited Harukasumi IPA can, the lineup is designed so visitors can enjoy craft beer together with local flavors. If you're visiting the Ryusendo area on a sightseeing trip, this is likely to draw attention as a place where you can sample beer, light meals, and local ingredients all in one stop.
