MOKICHI KAMAKURA in Hase, Kamakura, has announced the third edition of “Kamakura Autumn Feast - Drunk on Sake, Food, Sound and Sky,” a collaboration between Kumazawa Sake Brewery and the Kamakura Sake Research Group. It will be held on Saturday, October 31, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with reception starting at 4:40 p.m. The event is limited to 70 guests and will be served buffet-style.

The venue is a brick building renovated from the former Kanagawa Kamakura pressure pump station. Its solid exterior and open interior are paired with dishes that make use of herbs from the on-site garden and fermented ingredients from the brewery, creating a calm, distinctly Kamakura atmosphere. The post says the evening will feature special cask sake, Tensei brand sake, and several varieties of Shonan Beer craft beer.

The restaurant’s regular Shonan Beer lineup includes Pilsner, Alt, Schwarz, Golden Ale, American IPA, and a seasonal beer. That makes the venue interesting not only for sake drinkers, but also for beer fans looking for a range from lager to dark beer to hop-forward styles.

Music is part of the appeal as well: violinist Mizuki Kakegawa and cellist Kaori Shiota are scheduled to perform again this autumn. With food, drink, music, and the historic building all coming together, the event reflects the character of MOKICHI KAMAKURA well.
