Sakura Taps taps three beers including an English PA, and also announces part-time hiring
The Yokohama Yoshida-cho beer pub Sakura Taps has announced the tapping of three new beers, including an English pale ale. True to the shop, where you can enjoy eight taps that change daily in a calm setting, the lineup offers a wide range of expressions, from malt richness to hop definition.
At the beer pub Sakura Taps in Hanasaki-cho, Naka Ward, Yokohama, three new draft beers were announced. The shop is on the second floor of Nora Neko Dori in Yoshida-cho, and its appeal is that you can enjoy craft beer and hand-drip coffee in a relaxed atmosphere. With eight taps that change daily, these three beers also form a lineup with clearly distinct flavor directions.
The highlight this time is Kurgantaite / Bighand Bros. Beer / English Pale Ale. Biscuit- and caramel-like malt aromas are layered with fresh herbal notes and earthy hop aromas, and the more you drink, the more the beer's simple grainy savoriness and crisp bitterness come forward. Rather than flash, it is the kind of beer that steadily builds drinkability as you go.
Kesennuma Pride ver. 12.1 / Black Tide Brewing / IPA is a green-label IPA built around Citra and Chinook. Its citrus, pine, and dank character is easy to imagine, and it's for people who want to fully enjoy the hop presence. It also has the familiar feel of its 18th batch overall, so it is interesting to follow how each release turns out.
And Shibaku zo! 2026 / Shiokaze Brew Lab / American Strong Ale is a powerful beer with a thick layering of malt and hops. Rather than a crisp drinking feel, it is the type that carries body and bitterness for a long time, making it a beer to face slowly. In contrast to sours and light, brisk IPAs, you can enjoy a memorable finish with real presence.
Sakura Taps is also known as a place that properly showcases a beer's individuality. Including the food and coffee, it's a good fit for days when you want to settle in and savor each glass one by one. This post also announced that part-time staff are being recruited, and the momentum continues to support craft beer culture, including the people working on the shop floor.
