Craft Beer Market Otemachi has announced that a new member of its restaurant group will open in Yokohama’s Shin-Tsunashima area. Named “SMASH HOUSE by CRAFTROCK BREWING,” the venue is scheduled to open on October 28 on the first floor of the new Shin-Tsunashima MICCA facility, about a one-minute walk from Shin-Tsunashima Station.

The specialty will be Japanese beef smash burgers, pressed and seared on a high-temperature griddle. The exterior is designed to be crisp and aromatic, while the center retains its rich juices. The burgers will be served alongside freshly made craft beer from CRAFTROCK BREWING, a brewery familiar to regulars at Craft Beer Market. The new venue will feature 14 taps, giving guests a broad selection of the brewery’s beers to enjoy with food.

During the day, SMASH HOUSE is planned as a relaxed café serving burgers and deli plates. In the evening, it will operate as a casual beer bar where guests can drop in for a drink. The concept is intended to make the venue enjoyable throughout the day, whether visitors are looking for a full meal or a quick beer.

A crowdfunding campaign, “CRAFTROCK Yokohama Expansion Fund,” has also launched to support the project. Investor rewards include drink tickets that can be used at the new restaurant.

Craft Beer Market Otemachi is a beer pub located on the first floor of Otemachi Financial City Grand Cube in Chiyoda, Tokyo. With the opening of SMASH HOUSE, CRAFTROCK BREWING’s beers will gain a new destination in the Shin-Tsunashima neighborhood, paired with one of the city’s increasingly popular casual burger styles.
