Motoyamacho Brewery has released its new session hoppy ale, "Butterfly." In the post, it says the beer has a light mouthfeel with a strong hop aroma, and that a soft bitterness and sweetness remain at the end of the drink. True to its name, it is a beer that evokes butterflies fluttering about, and it seems designed to balance an expansive aroma with easy drinkability.

Motoyamacho Brewery is a small craft beer facility tucked away in an alley in Motoyama-cho, Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture. Along with its attached taproom, "Motoyamacho Beer Stand," it continues to operate with a strong local focus. The brewery began brewing in January 2021, and even its official messaging carries the slogan "Make, Drink, Enjoy," giving the impression that it has steadily been building beers meant to be enjoyed as part of everyday life rather than for flashiness.

In this post, along with a mention of @hirojyu_mito, it also announced plans for a related booth from @aozora_craft at Mito Art Tower Plaza on April 25 and 26. Being able to enjoy the new release not only at the brewery but also at the event venue speaks to how close the brewery is to the city. From the small brewery in Motoyama-cho, a new pint is being sent out toward weekend Mito.
