Chiitoko Shoten Taps One Keg on April 6; Minoh's "Session Black IPA" Debuts
"Dagashi, Beer, and Coffee Shop Chiitoko Shoten" in Shimowacho, Nagano Prefecture, released its service information for April 6. In addition to one newly tapped keg from Minoh Beer, it announced a tap lineup including Isekadoya Beer and Shiga Kogen Beer, while also touching on takeaway demand.
The beer pub "Dagashi, Beer, and Coffee Shop Chiitoko Shoten" in Shimowacho, Suwa District, Nagano Prefecture, posted its service information for Monday, April 6. While noting that the season had become pleasant enough to open the shop's windows, it also suggested enjoying coffee, lemonade, or craft beer while strolling around town or heading out for cherry blossom viewing.
One new tap from Minoh Beer
The new addition announced for the day was Minoh Beer's "Session Black IPA." It is described as a Black IPA with restrained roast character, along with citrus-like fruitiness and bitterness. Even while keeping the alcohol level down, it is presented as a beer with satisfying depth. Although it is a dark beer, the design is not overly heavy, so it should pair easily with meals or dagashi.
Tap list for the day
The draft beers announced in the shop were the following four:
- Mugi no Manimani (5.0%) / Isekadoya Beer
- Golden Dragon (4.0%) / Isekadoya Beer
- Baby Blonde Miyama (5.0%) / Shiga Kogen Beer
- Session Black IPA (4.5%) / Minoh Beer
The lineup includes two labels from Isekadoya Beer, a familiar blonde-style beer from Shiga Kogen Beer, and Minoh Beer's dark IPA, creating a selection that balances lightness and drinkability. For beer lovers, it is a lineup that makes side-by-side tasting of each brand's character easy.
A shop with dagashi, baked goods, and coffee too
As its name suggests, Chiitoko Shoten is centered on dagashi, beer, and coffee. It also offers light meals and baked goods such as shortbread, banana bread, chocolate banana bread, whole-wheat scones, chilled chocolate brownies, oat chocolate chip cookies, and sausage rolls. Rather than being a craft-beer-only shop, its appeal lies in an atmosphere where you can enjoy a drink as part of everyday life.
Hours are Wednesday from 12:00 to 22:00, and Thursday through Monday from 10:00 to 22:00. The last order for coffee is 21:00, and for everything else it is 21:30. If you're looking for a place to grab a drink in Shimowacho, this is one spot to remember for its distinctive atmosphere that includes dagashi and coffee as well.
