Koenji's And Beer taps TropicalNightIPA and Nahual on Sunday, April 26
The Koenji brewpub And Beer announced its business hours for Sunday, April 26. It newly tapped the Juicy IPA "TropicalNightIPA" and "Nahual," and highlighted its collaboration beer with Coffee Wrights, "AND TAMIRU TADESSE ~COFFEE ALE~," as a recommendation.
Highlights for Sunday, April 26
At the brewpub And Beer in Koenji, Suginami Ward, Tokyo, the shop was open continuously from 11:30 to 21:00 on Sunday, April 26. Lunch ran from 11:30 to 15:00, dinner from 17:00 to 21:00, and beer takeout was available from 10:00 to 21:00.
Two new taps
The first thing that stands out in that day's post is the two beers that were newly put on tap the day before. One is a Juicy IPA. It was introduced as an IPA loaded with aroma hops, promising a full-bodied finish. The other is a Mexican Dark Lager. It is a dark lager made with corn and was presented as an easy-to-drink style.
The recommended beer is a coffee collaboration
The beer highlighted as the post's recommendation was a collaboration with Coffee Wrights in Kuramae, Tokyo, made with Ethiopian coffee beans called "Tamiru Tadesse Murago." It is said to layer coffee roastiness over malt character, and to be enjoyable both as a full pint and by following how its expression changes as it warms.
Food to enjoy alongside it
The food lineup included the monthly Jollof rice, mutton biryani, Kerala chicken, dal with whitebait and maitake mushrooms, and Gujo miso keema, along with spice dishes and curries. The composition reflected the shop's strength: pairing house-brewed beer with food.
And Beer is a small brewpub along the elevated tracks in Koenji. It is known as a place where you can enjoy house-brewed beer and spice dishes with a different menu each day, and its terrace seats are pet-friendly. It was a day that worked well not only for lingering over drinks inside, but also for casually taking beer home as takeout.
