Craft Bank, a brewery based in Fukuchiyama, Kyoto, has announced its participation in “Yoru BiVi—KYOTO BEER NIGHT MARKET,” taking place at BiVi Nijo on September 25. The brewery is featured as the first entry in the event’s brewer introduction series.
Craft Bank, a craft brewery based in Fukuchiyama, Kyoto, will participate in “Yoru BiVi—KYOTO BEER NIGHT MARKET” at BiVi Nijo. The event is scheduled for Friday, September 25, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the facility’s outdoor area on the east side.
The announcement is the first installment in a series introducing the breweries taking part in the event. Craft Bank is known for brewing in a former bank building in Fukuchiyama. Its site includes a brewery and brewpub on the first floor, as well as a coworking space, event space, and rooftop terrace.
The brewery was founded by Daichi Haboshi, a Fukuchiyama native, and Kensuke Shoda, who had worked on community development in the city. After studying brewing, yeast cultivation, equipment design, and sanitation at Hideji Beer in Nobeoka, Miyazaki, the pair renovated the former bank building largely through their own efforts and opened Craft Bank in 2022.
Craft Bank’s guiding phrase is “Let’s do something, beer in hand.” Its philosophy, “DRUNKABILITY,” combines the ideas of drinkability and the enjoyment of getting pleasantly drunk. The brewery seeks to make beers with distinctive character that remain easy to enjoy over several glasses, while creating opportunities for people to connect.
Details such as the beers and serving format planned for the market have not yet been announced. Located next to Nijo Station, BiVi Nijo will offer visitors a chance to enjoy Fukuchiyama-brewed beer in central Kyoto.
