Minoh Beer takes center stage

For today’s openings, Hathor features two Minoh Beer pours: "Pale Ale Real Ale Ver" and "W-IPA Real Ale Ver." The Pale Ale brings citrusy hop aroma, pleasant bitterness, and a clean finish, with a balance designed to work well alongside food. It is the kind of beer that fits easily at the table.

The W-IPA is a stronger statement piece. Brewed with 2.5 times the usual malt and hops, it comes in at 9% ABV and layers hop aroma, bitterness, and a rich malt profile. It is presented as a beer to sip slowly, making it a natural choice after a meal or as a final glass of the night.

From summer-friendly aromatics to barrel-aged depth

Isekadoya Beer’s "Sakekasu Hazy IPA ZAKU Natsuzake" adds a seasonal twist, combining the hazy IPA’s tropical hop character with notes that recall ginjo sake. The aroma suggests pineapple and pear, while the recipe leans a little drier, making it easier to keep drinking even in the heat of summer.

On the darker side, "Bourbon Barrel Aged Shadowplay 2025" brings a more contemplative finish. Built on aged base beer, it layers chocolate, coffee, toasted coconut, tonka bean, and banana nuances into a rich, slow-sipping strong stout. A 2024 version is also listed, giving beer fans something to compare.

A 16-tap beer pub in Kyobashi

CraftBeerSpot Hathor is a beer pub in Kyobashi, Osaka, with 16 taps and house-smoked food. That setup makes the bar well suited to a lineup that ranges from crisp lagers and wheat beers to hop-driven ales, strong IPAs, wheat wine, and barrel-aged dark beer.

The draft board also includes Asahi’s "Super Dry," Isekadoya’s "Fresh Pressed Beyond the Pacific" and "Ume White," Oni Densetsu Beer’s "Yuya Boys IPL Jamboree SP Ver," Good Hops’ "Tono no Wind," and a collaboration beer, "Sage" from Falo Brewing × Karakuri. It is a broad, food-friendly list that works for both casual pints and more serious tasting sessions.
