Shiga Kogen’s From Scratch was described as a simple, highly drinkable blonde ale with a subtle citrus character. Sankt Gallen’s Kokuto Sweet Stout, meanwhile, offered a rich, full-bodied dark beer with noticeable sweetness from brown sugar. At the time of the announcement, From Scratch was already running low.
A wide-ranging draft list
The draft lineup covered both Japanese and international beers. Japanese selections included Nito Brewery’s Weizen Apple Cinnamon, Minoh Beer’s Weiss IPA, Y Market’s Egifu!!, Repubrew’s Black Jack IPA, and the regular Heartland. Overseas options included BrewDog’s Double IPA, Coronado’s Hazy Weekend, Sierra Nevada’s Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, and Revision’s Revision DIPA.
