THE SLOP SHOP to Hold 7th Anniversary Party on March 21 and 22
The beer pub THE SLOP SHOP in Tokyo's Toritsudaigaku area will hold its 7th anniversary party from Saturday, March 21 to Sunday, March 22. In addition to discounted draft beer, special two-day plans were announced, including serving back-vintage beers by the glass and a food pop-up.
The craft beer spot THE SLOP SHOP in Nakane, Meguro Ward, Tokyo, will hold an anniversary event to celebrate its 7th year.
The details announced this time are hard for beer lovers to ignore. As anniversary-only offerings different from regular service, discounted draft beer, glass pours of back-vintage beer sourced from Mejiro Tanakaya, anniversary merchandise, and extended late-night hours are planned.
On the food side, a pop-up by Phat Q will also be held. One appeal is being able to pair a solid meal with a beer-centered time.
One of the highlights is the serving of Saltfields Nodogoshi by Mr. Sato, who is introduced as the owner of Beer Boulvard / Pilsen Alley and one of Japan's leading lager pourers. It is a craft beer culture-style setup that turns the experience value into part of the brand, down to who pours the beer.
As expected from a shop that regularly digs deep into domestic and international craft beer in the Toritsudaigaku area, this anniversary plan also brings together the three elements of "tasting comparisons," "on-site experience," and "community." If you want to spend the weekend working your way through several glasses at a relaxed pace, you will want to mark the dates in advance.
