LIVIN' LARGE BEER & GALLERY to Open an Open-Air Alley Stall in Ikebukuro on May 2
The Higashi-Nagasaki beer pub "LIVIN' LARGE BEER & GALLERY" will set up a stall at the "IKEBUKURO LIVING LOOP 2026 Market" on May 2. With a booth combining tufting, goods, Pakistani curry, and craft canned beer, it will bring the atmosphere of the shop into the city.
On Saturday, May 2, from 11:00 to 20:00, Higashi-Nagasaki's <LIVIN' LARGE BEER & GALLERY> will appear at the "IKEBUKURO LIVING LOOP 2026 Market" held on Ikebukuro Green Boulevard. In a post, the shop is introduced as the craft beer provider for "Aozora Yokocho," with a setup that combines a tufting workshop, goods sales, Pakistani curry, craft canned beer, and a candy-shop DJ bar for parents and children.
The shop is a beer pub attached to an import-goods store and gallery. According to an introduction by the Tokyo Business Location Consultation Center, it always stocks more than 30 kinds of canned beer, including American brands and local labels from around Toshima Ward, and serves domestic and American craft beer from two taps. At the time of the interview, the lineup included a pilsner from local brewery CYCAD BREWING and an American pale ale.
What makes the shop appealing is that it is not a place where beer is the only thing that matters. Goods reminiscent of 1990s America blend naturally with traces of music, art, and film, creating a space where the ease of standing drink service coexists with the openness of a gallery. The yakitori from "Yakitori King," located just to the right of the shop, can be brought in, making it easy to build a pairing between beer and food. This appearance, as part of a local team from Higashi-Nagasaki, is worth watching as a move that spreads the shop's cultural vibe directly into the streets of Ikebukuro.
